i'm sorry but i already put BIG Warning on Linux Download page about that Gimphoto still CAN'T support MDI because:

GIMP based on GTK and there is NO MDI support for GTK system.

but you can use ALIEN to convert Gimphoto DEB package to RPM, just follow this tutorial:

Hi,

I am running Fedora 15b with GNOME 3. I want to install GimPhoto, since GIMP itself is totally alien to me, I've always been used to Photoshop.

Anyway, I downloaded the "All Linux Distro" version, enabled the "run as application" checkbox... and nothing happens. I doubleclick - nothing. I right-click + Open - nothing. I even tried to run it with another application (Software Install and also Archive Manager), but still nothing happens.

I really wish I could use GimPhoto, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to install it.

Any change this could end up in a repository we could use with YAM? (respectively, a deb repository we could use with aptitude...)

pspi.exe is GIMP plugin for using Photoshop .8bf plugins and i got the binary from this site:

Installed GP on our Ubuntu Linux system and very very pleased. Great job. So I decided to download the Windows 7 version of GimPhoto followed by GimPad. Installed both flawlessly, but immediately got VIRUS warning from McAfee. Please check this out and tell me if it is a false positive or real. Thanks!

I used Gimp Image Editor for the first time today to crop some old pics that i scanned and saved to my desktop, this worked beautifully and i was really happy!! so i have now tried to use this programme on some recent pics that i have saved in my pictures but i cant open them as Gimp is trying to open them and not my normal Fspot photo manager?? i then get an error saying opening'home/kim/pictures'failed:is a directory...i now cant access any of my pictures or any other documents for that matter, can anyone help me reset my f spot as the default picture opener??? thanks heaps....Kim
